Senior HR Business Partner
Location: Manchester (Hybrid)
Salary: £75,000 – £85,000 + Bonus + Benefits

The Opportunity
This organisation is scaling rapidly and investing in strong, pragmatic HR leadership. As Senior HR Business Partner, you’ll act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders championing culture, leading recruitment at scale, and ensuring robust people processes across the full employee lifecycle.
You will play a pivotal role in designing, strengthening, and embedding the people infrastructure needed for continued growth — all while preserving the organisation’s distinctive culture.
This role will suit a senior HR professional who has strong strategic experience but enjoys remaining hands-on in a growing business currently with c100 employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the full recruitment lifecycle for up to 50 hires in 2026, covering permanent roles, FTCs, and offshore/outsourced engineering resourcing.
- Champion and evolve the company culture as the organisation scales.
- Lead performance management and appraisal processes, ensuring clear expectations and fair handling of underperformance.
- Review, design, and continuously improve all employee lifecycle processes (recruitment, onboarding, development, exit, etc.)
- Provide expert guidance on employee relations and UK employment law, ensuring full compliance
- Partner closely with Engineering Managers
- Support organisational change in a fast-moving, maturing environment
- Line manage HR responsibilities carried out by the existing HR Manager
- Act as a trusted advisor to the senior leadership team on all HR and people matters
Skills & Experience
- Strong track record within high-growth tech organisations
- Proven background as a Senior HR Business Partner, HR Manager, or equivalent senior HR role
- Strong end-to-end recruitment experience, ideally within technical or engineering-led environments
- Experience managing performance, employee relations, and organisational change
- Credible communicator capable of partnering deeply with senior leaders and technical teams
- Comfortable navigating fast-paced, high-growth environments
- CIPD qualification (or equivalent experience) preferred
