Make a Real Impact with a National Charity

Are you an experienced, hands-on charity finance professional looking for a meaningful part-time role? This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly respected national charity making a real difference to people across the UK.

We are looking for a Part-time Co-Head of Finance to join a small but dedicated Finance team. You will work alongside the existing Head of Finance to strengthen resilience within the department and provide additional capacity during a busy period.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and enjoys balancing day-to-day financial operations with insightful reporting and financial stewardship.

The Role

As Co-Head of Finance, you will play a key part in maintaining the charity’s financial health. You’ll support financial reporting, reconciliation, and month-end processes, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and compliance across all areas. Your work will underpin strategic planning at Executive and Board level while also keeping essential daily finance operations running smoothly.

This is a genuinely flexible part-time position: 2 days per week, with complete freedom to spread your hours in the way that works best for you.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Ideally qualified in ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
  • Experienced in charity finance, including SORP, restricted/unrestricted funds, and grant management
  • Highly competent with management accounts, reconciliations, and financial operations
  • Confident working with Excel, accounting systems, and process improvements
  • Comfortable being hands-on in a small team environment
  • Able to start in January
  • Values-driven, collaborative, and committed to the mission of the charity

Experience working in a co-leadership model is not required, just a willingness to collaborate closely.

Why Join?

  • A role where your work truly matters
  • Fully remote and highly flexible
  • Opportunity to support a well-known, respected charity during an important time
  • Join a team that is supportive, passionate, and committed to its mission
  • Potential for extension beyond the initial 3 months

If this sounds like something you would be excited by then we'd love to hear from you - appy today!
