Senior Finance Consultant
Charity Sector | Outside IR35 | Remote
£400 - £450 per day DOE
We are supporting a national charity to appoint an experienced Senior Finance Consultant to lead a focused piece of work improving financial systems, reporting and cross-organisational processes.
This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role for a senior interim who can quickly diagnose issues, stabilise processes and work alongside leadership to implement practical improvements.
The Assignment
The organisation is operating at c.£5m turnover with multiple restricted funding streams
The interim will lead a two-stage piece of work:
- Rapid assessment and stabilisation, identifying immediate improvements and quick wins
- Implementation support, working with the CEO, Head of Finance and teams to embed improved systems, processes and governance
The Ideal Candidate
You will be a senior finance professional with strong systems and transformation experience
You will bring:
- Significant experience in charity sector finance
- Strong understanding of restricted funds, grant income and donor reporting
- Proven experience improving or integrating finance systems and CRMs
- Experience redesigning finance processes across multiple departments
- Excellent stakeholder management and change skills
- A pragmatic, hands-on approach – comfortable implementing, not just advising
Contract Details
- Initial 20–25 days over an initial 6–8 week period
- Strong likelihood of extension into further implementation work
- Outside IR35
- Day rate: £400 - £450 per day DOE
- Remote working, with very occasional travel
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced interim who enjoys short, high-impact assignments and working closely with senior leaders to fix complex systems and process challenges.
