HR Assistant – Recruitment & Onboarding

Location: Manchester (Hybrid – 2 days WFH per week)

Salary: £25,000 – £26,500 per annum

Contract: Permanent

Sector: Health & Social Care



We’re delighted to be working with a values-led health and social care organisation to recruit an HR Assistant with a strong focus on recruitment and onboarding.

The role

Reporting into the HR team, the HR Assistant will play a key role in supporting recruitment activity and ensuring new starters receive a smooth, welcoming and compliant onboarding experience.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting end-to-end recruitment processes, including job adverts, shortlisting, interviews and offers
  • Coordinating pre-employment checks such as right to work, DBS and references
  • Managing onboarding processes and ensuring all documentation is completed accurately and on time
  • Preparing contracts, offer letters and HR correspondence
  • Maintaining HR systems and employee records
  • Acting as a first point of contact for HR and recruitment-related queries
  • Supporting wider HR administration and projects as required



About you

The successful candidate will be organised, people-focused and keen to develop their HR career.

You will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in an HR, recruitment or people administration role
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
  • Confidence communicating with candidates, managers and stakeholders
  • A professional and empathetic approach, aligned with values-driven work
  • Experience within health or social care (desirable, but not essential)
